2022 Already? What is Happening with Me?

Hey everyone! I know it's been a while.

I have spent the better part of the last six months working on editing Book 2 of my Star Kin Chronicles Series, The Celestial Keeper (Part 2 of The Heart Stone Trilogy). I finally submitted it to my publisher, Words Matter Publishing, at the end of March and it is currently going through the publishing process! Yay!

I am now working on updating various things, including marketing information for my publisher, my website, some social media (future) post images, as well as making a start on editing Book 3.

My personal life has been busy, too. We've been having a massive clean-out and selling good stuff that we never use. Sales have been slow, thanks to my time spent editing, but I hope we will raise some money I can use toward purchasing stock images for my novella covers (which I am self-publishing), and potential advertising costs. I also hope to re-subscribe to a premium plan for this website, so I can reclaim my evieasterwyn.com domain name. It's much easier to direct people to that than the current website URL!

I've also been battling a lot of pain, as I've been diagnosed with both coeliac disease and diabetic neuropathy. This means my body has various aches and pains almost constantly, and a couple of falls I've experienced have resulted in torn ligaments/injured muscles and these are not healing as they should because of the neuropathy.

I'm finally on a gluten-free diet, and my stomach aches etc. have eased, for which I'm grateful, but my diabetes control still needs some work before my neuropathy will ease off. It can take up to two years being completely gluten-free for coeliac damage to be reversed, and it's possible (given my symptoms) that I've had coeliac for a long, long time. I hope that the diet changes will lead to overall body healing, with better monitoring and control thanks to my body actually absorbing what I'm eating, rather than me guessing at how much food I'm actually absorbing.

While all this has been happening, 2020 and 2021 have whizzed by, and I'm still amazed when I write out the date as 2022. But when I look back at all I've dealt with, and how far my book journey has come, I can believe it.

Now I'm looking forward to the end of this year, when The Celestial Keeper will be out. I hope you are looking forward to reading more of Cassie's journey with Astra, Alex and the Grayson family. Many exciting and scary things happen in Book 2, and Cassie's growth as a Star Kin carries on. Surprises arise, and secrets are revealed, while Cassie and Alex's relationship experiences some growing pains. But the Graysons will always look out for Cassie and Astra, no matter the trouble they get into!
