Book 2 is on the way! And I need Beta readers.

Hello everyone!

I'm so pleased to announce that publishing is well underway for Book 2 of The Star Kin Chronicles, and Part 2 of The Heart Stone Trilogy: The Celestial Keeper.

This novel continues the story of Cassie Stone, and her adventures with Alex and the Grayson family. In Part 2, Cassie is relieved that Alex has returned from the Craevyrn city of Cravernos, in Romania, with good news! But her joy soon turns to concern as she discovers the exact terms of the Craevyrn Elder's ruling: She must be turned to Erelim-kind by Alex or his family, by the end of June the following year. Given it is early December, she has a lot to process before the end of that seven-month timeframe.

Add in complications of Alex's reluctance to turn her, and his insistence that they take a big step with their relationship, and things seem very messy to our heroine. Further complications arise during the following months, and when an old enemy shows up, and puts her human friends' lives in danger, Cassie and Astra, her Star-Dog, choose a course of action that results in a disastrous outcome.

Can Cassie and Alex come to a decision about their relationship, their future, and resolve the issues that Cassie must face? And what will change when they discover the truth of Cassie's heritage, and the possible cause of her unusual gifts?

I really hope you will all keep an eye out for updates from me, and purchase The Celestial Keeper when it releases. I'm awaiting a formal release date, but things are rolling along well.

In other news, You may have noticed that I've updated the look of my website and blog. I am trying to finalize my brand, and this includes creating and providing matching imagery across my website and social media. This is a work in progress, but if you follow my social media sites, you'll soon see the results. I hope that you find them extraordinary. I have also been listening to a read-aloud of Book 3, Part 3 of The Heart Stone Trilogy: The Celestial Rising. This is the first stage of my editing process, so I can listen for any mistakes or missed wording in the body of the novel, and ensure the story flows and makes sense.

Since The Celestial Rising has, like my earlier books, undergone a significant rewrite from it's earlier draft, I want to ensure the book makes sense, has all the ends tied up nicely, is not missing any key scenes or revelations, and of course, provides our heroine with a happy ending.. How that happy ending eventuates is still to be revealed–you'll have to wait for Book 3 to come out to find out what happens!

The next step in this editing process will be to run some searches to ensure that words I've heard overused are changed up, that repetitive descriptions of things that I've accidentally entered several times (to ensure they're not missed!) are trimmed down and limited to once or twice maximum, or scattered through the narration. Then it's onto line editing, where I'm correcting pretty much everything else!

To be honest, editing is not my favorite past-time., but its such an important part of forming and pulling out the essence of the story, while surgically removing the unnecessary bits to reveal a gorgeous book. So, I suffer through it!

I'm hoping to get Book 3 into my publisher as soon as I can, so we can look forward to a slightly earlier release in 2023. After that, I'll be working on Alex's telling of this trilogy, which are in books 4, 5 and 6. In these books you'll hear the more complicated story of what Alex has going on behind the scenes, the details of the telepathic communication with his sister Amaia, what exactly happened in Cravernos, and, of course, the details of his impressions of and feelings for Cassie. Trust me, this guy may have a tough, sometimes angry, exterior, but he's really a sweetheart beneath the rough armor he presents to the world.

So hang in there, guys and girls. Books 2 is coming soon!
